Our Mission

To provide access to materials, information, and services that people and organizations need in a timely, convenient, and equitable manner.

Our Vision

To be the learning place for the community, inspiring people of all ages with the love of books and reading, advancing the pursuit of knowledge, and enhancing the quality of life for all who use the Library.

The library is housed on the first floor of the Charles G. Gomillion Building in Tuskegee, Alabama.  The Gomillion Building was named in honor of the lead plaintiff in Gomillion vs Lightfoot, the celebrated U.S. Supreme Court Case that legally ended the practice of gerrymandering.

The library is located one block from the central business district in Tuskegee, and is easily accessible by all areas of Macon County.
