Check out a Wi-Fi Hotspot

at the Macon County-Tuskegee Public Library

If you are a library patron without Internet access in your home, the library can provide you with a Wi-Fi hotspot connection thru Alabama Public Library Service. A Wi-Fi hotspot is a device you can use to connect a mobile-enabled laptop, smartphone, or tablet to the Internet. Hotspots can be checked out at the public library by adults with a valid ID and library card. Multiple devices can be connected to the hotspot.

The hotspot can be checked out for three weeks. They are renewable but will need to be returned based on demand. If the hotspot is not returned, it will be disabled and the library patron will be charged the cost of the device. Only one device can be checked out per card. Supply is limited.

 SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2025

Go on a creative journey this summer with your library!

The Macon County – Tuskegee Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program is a beloved tradition for people of all ages! It’s fun, helps children and adults keep their reading skills strong, and promotes the joy and love of reading.

Register in person at the library. The program will take place from June 10th through late July.

The theme for the summer reading program is "Color Our World". This theme encourages readers of all ages to explore the world of art and creativity through books, library programs, and hands-on activities. The Library will offer various resources, including craft projects, presenters, and workshops, to inspire and engage participants.  This year some of our children programs will be held at the schools in the county and we’ve added adult programs here at the library.
