Kids: Caldecott Medal

First presented in 1938 the Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.  Named in honor of the renowned 19th century British illustrator Randolph Caldecott, the award is sponsored by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.
